Models of Confidence

All of us human beings are driven by an innate need to achieve happiness. “Happiness” is a state of mind or feeling of satisfaction, contentment and pleasure or joy. The sources of happiness or human pleasures in this millenia has become dependent on one commodity or currency, that is: MONEY. In the urban area, daily living activities are taxed and you cannot do anything without money. Money is needed for survival as everything needs to be paid and exchanged for money. I long for the ancient times wherein people lived healthily, happily and productively. During the ancient times, the tribes in the Philippines lived, survived and proliferated without the 500 peso bill. The Ancient people were only few in population, they were blessed by nature because they have flown with natuer herself. The ancients knew how to listen to the whisper of the wind and heed when it signals danger, they knew how to communicate with the stars so they’d know when its time to gather the bounty of the sea, they knew how to take care of the earth as the earth took care of them and gave them wondrous food and shelter. But nowadays, people are so consumed with having top gadgets, ipods, laptops, cellphones, and other tech stuff which requires the transformation of forests into industries, the trees into large concrete stones.

To achieve happiness in this complicated environment called earth, humans have to create ways to satisfy their thirst and hunger for luxury and pleasure. As more and more natural things are used to create new and luxurious things for the rapidly growing human population, the Earth is being consumed unsustainably. As a member of the human race and as part of the whole universe I have decided to dedicate my life to saving the Earth. To do that, I must change my ways and follow the path of the ancients. I will help the world and train to gain knowledge, wisdom and skills. That I may be effective and successful in achieving my goal. May the grace of the Goddess above be with me all the time. So mote it be.
